Mike just called with outrageously good news. The fire department or city just confirmed with Symon that if they can prove their system to work (provide enough GPM) then we will not have to upgrade the water meter. Hopefully that will be that will be case and we are at an advantage as we have really high water pressure. Mike says we will still have to upgrade the service line to the house which they previously quoted ~$1k to do, but I know I can do it for ~$100 in parts. He will get me the specs and I will get it done. The plans are being dropped off at the FD today and they will have them for ~1 week. So Symons can start as early as late next week :-)
