Mike just called in response to the two emails I just forwarded to him asking for a response. He said he will call Symons to see where they are at but he suspects they are still waiting on the fire department. He will let me know either way. I asked about the water spigot for the east wall of the house which he will have placed on the north wall of the addition, near the east wall by the 220 line that goes out to the jacuzzi. I know for convenience it might be best to go on the east wall itself somewhere in the middle but to keep it out of the way of the deck and out of sight with the unsightly hose reel and hose.. I opted to put it out of view on the north side of the house but still closest to the back yard... keeping it a couple feet away from the 220 box that will serve as the connection to the jacuzzi.
Mike will also get on the missing cement landing and the trash can pad out front. He balked and said it would be best to wait until the end but I said they look like shit so he said he will get on it. Mike also said he will have Symons place the fire sprinkler shutoff valve box on the north side of the house near the water heater area. He said once the plans are approved, he will ask them to place their tie in to the 1 1/4" line so I will still have room for me to install a pressure regulator. In fact I will email him right now and ask if I can buy the pressure regulator, leave it at the house and have Symons install it for me as it will only be a couple of extra joints to sweat.
We agreed there is no reason to have him drive up tomorrow so I'll also send him an email to approve that.
