Last weekend I got nothing done as I was horribly sick. I did not get out of bed almost all weekend. This weekend I got part of the kitchen grout done and worked on the bathroom. I fixed the one tile which stuck out too much on the bottom left of the shower entry and ground down some others that stuck out. Tomorrow the glass enclosure is going to be installed and Lars is picking up the tab ($168) for the french doors transom to be replaced as it broke about two months ago mysteriously.
I started on the bamboo flooring and now I can see why installers can charge so much. First I had to find all the low spots and fill them in with Henrys 547 UniPro Universal Patch & Skimcoat. Then I layed down a layer of Bostiks MVP4 Moisture Barrier and let it sit overnight. I woke up to find it still tacky but that is what Lumber Liquidators said it would end up like. As long as you can walk on it and it does not transfer to your shoes, you are good to go. So then I layed down the Bostick Best flooring adhesive, enough so I could reach at at time and started to lay the bamboo boards. It took most of the day to do all of this and it looks great. Sometime this week I would imagine we will be going to Mor Furniture to get the bed we saw and liked. It is a little over the top but will go well with the addition and will be a much nicer bed than what we have. Hopefully we can get rid of that one and make a few dollars as it was $1200 and the mattress was about a grand too.
