Mike just called and the inspector yesterday said sprinklers are needed. Mike said he missed some checkoff on the plans and that means we may end up having to not only have them put into the addition but also the existing house. There is a 75% rule and we are within 30 feet or so. Mike suggested they could fir in the back wall a foot and that would take care of it... I said no way. Mike is having their sub that does sprinklers do a bid on the job and dropped off a set of plans with them last night. He said he spent time with Jason last night going over the plans to see how they could make it so sprinklers would not have to go in the old part of the house and are thinking of appealing the rule as they are just right over the 75% threshold.
